Terrace Bay Pulp & Paper

It was time to make the 40,000 sq.ft. Terrace Bay Pulp and Paper Mill a cleaner, healthier and safer place to work. Calling in the experts, Keating began by analyzing the extent of what needed to be done. First was asbestos abatement. The level of asbestos around old piping and parts of the boiler called for the construction of a negative air chamber and shower trailers for trained manpower going in and out of the contained area so that regulatory methods of removal and disposal were adhered to. Secondly, the building was insulated and sided to improve energy efficiency, as well as improving its esthetic. In the end, Keating supplied and installed nearly 30,000 sq.ft. of piping, insulation and sheeting to create a long term, energy-efficient, safe and comfortable working environment.
